Microsoft Corporation was founded by Bill Gates and Paul Allen in year 1975 in Redmond, Washington. Windows Products
Windows 8: The latest Desktop Operating system from Microsoft for use on personal computers, including home and business desktops, laptops, tablets, and home theater PCs. Windows 8 was launched for general users in October 2012 and is a touch-friendly shell and user interface based on Microsoft’s “Metro” design language having tile based application layout.
Windows 7:  Predecessor of Windows 8, Windows 7 was launched in  October 2009 after Windows Vista operating system. Windows 7 was an incremental improvement to Vista which had many issues. Windows 7 was one of the most popular OS from Microsoft Stable.
Other older version of Microsoft Operating System included Windows Vista and Windows XP.
 Windows Server 2012: Windows Server 2012, is the sixth release of Windows Server. It is the server version of Windows 8 and succeeds Windows Server 2008 R2
Windows Home Server: Windows Home Server is based on Windows Server 2003 R2 and is useful for Home users and very small business home owners having multiple computers for file sharing, automated backups, print server, and remote access.
Microsoft Office 2013: Microsoft Office 2013  is the latest version of the Microsoft Office productivity suite for Microsoft Windows and the successor to Microsoft Office 2010.
Office 365: Office 365 is a cloud based Office productivity suite which carry a monthly subscription based on number of users. Another great offering from Microsoft.
Windows RT: Windows RT is an operating system designed to run on mobile devices utilizing the ARM architecture, such as Surface and window tablets. Comes as pre-loaded operating system on Mobile devices produced by participating OEMs.
Microsoft Security Essentials: Microsoft Security Essentials is a very popular free to all antivirus software providing protection against viruses, Malware, spyware, rootkits and Trojan horses. This product however doesn’t run on Windows 8, the latest Operating System.
Windows Azure: Windows Azure is a Microsoft cloud computing platform for building, deploying and managing applications and services through a global network of Microsoft-managed datacenters. providing both Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) services and supports many different programming languages, tools and frameworks.
Windows Embedded: Windows Embedded software is an OS from Microsoft designed for use in embedded systems.
Windows Phone: Windows Phone is a series of proprietary mobile operating systems succeeding to Windows Mobile platform
Outlook.com: Outlook is a great overhauled Web-based email services as well. Outlook has replaced Hotmail offering user friendly interface and host of existing features including integration of Skydrive.
SkyDrive: SkyDrive is a cloud based file hosting service offering by Microsoft replacing  Windows Live SkyDrive. User have the ability to upload, share and sync files to a cloud storage. Microsoft offer 7 GB pf free access and 25 GB to previous users of Hotmail.
Internet Explorer: Popularly called as IE, Internet Explorer is one of the most popular web browser. The current version of IE is IE 10 which is in the release phase and would be replacing IE 9 very soon. Chrome and Mozilla Firefox are other popular web browsers

XBox: One of the most popular video game console manufactured by Microsoft. Xbox compete with Sony PlayStation and Nintendo Wii.
Skype: Skype is a  proprietary Voice over IP service and software application which Microsoft bought in year 2011 for roughly 8.8 Billion USD. Skype remains most popular video chat software and is widely used all over the world.

Microsoft Silverlight: Microsoft Silverlight is an application framework for writing and running rich Internet applications.
