Microsoft has officially confirmed the launch of Microsoft data centres in Canada. The company confirmed the new on their official blog.
The launch of Microsoft datacentres in Canada is a historic event. It marks the start of a significant expansion of our trusted cloud services into Canada and reflects our deep – and growing – commitment to this country.
We strongly believe in the potential of Canadian private and public sector businesses and organizations, and the opportunities it creates for our ecosystem of partners to innovate and differentiate their solutions, powered by Microsoft Cloud services.
The cloud offers unprecedented solutions, cost savings, efficiency, productivity and reliability. It enables organizations of any size, and in any sector to collaborate, compete and excel in an increasingly mobile world.
With this update. Microsoft is now offering the most complete cloud service in Canada. This step will especially benefit Canadian customers who use Office 365 and Azure support platform giving them assurance of all their cloud data into Canadian soil. This includes data redundancy in multiple locations within Canada for business continuity and the option of a fast and private connection to the cloud with Azure ExpressRoute.
Microsoft also mentioned that they are also in the process of moving Dynamics CRM Online to be live in Q3 of this calendar year, which will complete their delivery of all of our Cloud services, from Canada.
